IE6 Funeral

First there was the website that announced it, and now the funeral was actually held. I will totally send this to clients when they ask for an IE6 compliant site, telling them that they are using a dead(!) browser. Apparently Microsoft themselves sent flowers.

IE7 is no longer the most used Browser

Rating 4.00 out of 5

Great news, according to StatCounter’s numbers , IE7 is no longer the most used browser. The initial numbers are deceiving as they show all versions of IE (IE6 though to IE8. If you choose the Browser Versions stats you can see that FF3.5 has bypassed IE7. CSS programmers will surely utter a sigh of relief world wide, finally they are able to use standard W3C approved CSS on sites, without having to worry about the majority of users seeing their creations through MS eyes. Another (overdue) nail in the Microsoft coffin?

what is a browserFrom kontain.com

Yes, it is the year 2009, but this is reality my nerdy friends. Every designer, every interactive developer, every producer should be a contributer to the goal of Subuse (subliminal usability). If your parents cant use it, throw it out, start from scratch and never make the same mistake again. Got it dumb ass? Keep it Fisher Price people, we were all brought up on the FP.
