After 19 years the old intro just wasn’t up to date anymore. In this new opening sequence Lisa’s schoolmates are shown playing on a Nintendo DS games console, the Simpson family is watching a flat-screen TV and Marge’s supermarket bill has gone from $243.2 to $486.52.
