Having been a user of Songbird for a while now I find the release of Boxee quite promising. Songbird kicks iTunes butt (setting aside that the closed iTouch makes using Songbird a hassle). Apple released their Apple TV a while back. There is Microsoft Mediacentre as well, that tries to offer the same thing. Anyways, say hello to the open source Boxee. Cross platform, all kinds of media formats supported..looking promising indeed. Reviews and impressions are more then welcomed…
quick intro to boxee from boxee on Vimeo.
Well apple is doing their utmost to keep everyone out. if you want to do anything you must jailbreak your pod and or phone, it seems. Adobe will, with Flash CS5, allow developers to compile Flash directly to an iPhone app format. So still not Flash Player for the iPhone/Touch but it is, I guess a step in the right direction…
And if you haven’t already, check out CS5 for it’s other new features as well.
Laying out text promises to become a lot easier…amongst other things…
The first “real” iPhone AR app has gone live in the iTunes App Store. But it’s arrived earlier than expected–weeks before Apple said it would be allowed.
I saw the a similar app for NYC last week, and a collegue of mine said how cool would it be to find other things then subway stations. Say cinemas, restaurants, stores…in comes the Paris metro app, the interesting part in the video comes about half way through, when the user is presented with other things that mere metro stations, you can find your way near by coffee shops and fast food restaurants as well…
really cool
The initial stage of the Facebook username land grab has finished, and we’ve already seen some very, very weird and funny Facebook vanity URLs…

With 18 meters this must be the biggest toy robot out there. So weird. Are they expecting Godzilla to make another run at a Hollywood comeback. Or maybe it is to preasure the IOC to give Tokyo the games of 2016, or else!?

if this is the real thing that LG is showing off in this promo, the iPhone series is about to get a serious competitor.
